Dedication to Excellence

Jeff Smith and his wife Teresa have been pillars in the community for decades. They both grew up in Brevard County and raised their children here. Therefore, it was a natural decision for them to start Smith Construction and Development here as well. However, the business started long before it officially opened its doors in 2007. It took shape while Jeff was a lumber salesman. On the job, he was known for his dedication. He took the time to study a job's building plans to know each project's individual needs. Then, he would go above and beyond by educating, explaining and providing valuable advice that would not only save customers' money but also precious time on builds. This made his knowledge high in demand. Soon, he wasn't just selling supplies but overseeing the projects, too. Before he knew it, customers began to personally ask him for help. He knew it was time to branch out on his own to serve the community he loves.

In October 2007, Smith Construction and Development officially opened its doors. Within a year, Jeff hired his first employee even during the recession. Within two years, he hired his 5th. Currently, Smith has a crew of five contractors including experienced carpenters and five office staff to help serve any customer's needs. There are no subcontractors. Everyone is a trusted employee of Smith. Even Jeff's sons have been part of the crew since family means everything to Jeff and Teresa. Treating employees and customers like family is what sets Smith apart. We have the vision, dedication and experience to help turn your vision into a reality that your family will enjoy for decades to come.
